How long have you been working at Mon Motors?
I joined the business in June 2000 as a Service Advisor at Bath Volkswagen. Having worked in the industry since the age of 15, Mon Motors offered an opportunity to grow with a respected, well structured group. Nearly 25 years later, I am still proud to be part of the company and the journey it has taken me on.
What first attracted you to Mon Motors?
I have always been hands on and enjoyed fixing things from a young age. With both of my parents in the motor trade, the industry felt like a natural path. When the opportunity came to join Bath Volkswagen in 2000, I admired the brand and could see the potential for long term progression. It proved to be the right move.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My role is all about solutions and people. I enjoy guiding others to be the best version of themselves, supporting new recruits and helping the team grow. A typical day involves problem solving, setting achievable targets, ensuring the workshop runs efficiently and delivering great customer service. Every day is different, and that variety is a big part of why I still love what I do.
What is the team like at Bath Audi?
We have a diverse, vibrant and dynamic team with a strong can do approach. Everyone plays their part and supports each other, which creates a positive environment for both customers and colleagues. The Bath Audi team works extremely well together, and I am proud to be part of that culture. Across Mon Motors, the family-run ethos and supportive structure reinforce that feeling even further.
Have you had any training or development opportunities since joining?
Training has always been available, and I have made the most of it throughout my career. That said, I learn best by getting stuck in, trying things for myself and learning from the people around me. The experience shared by colleagues across the business has been just as valuable as any formal course. There is always someone with knowledge to offer, and that collective support has helped shape my development.
