Careers in Trade Parts
A career in our Trade Parts Department means joining a dedicated, fast-paced operation that supports independent garages, bodyshops, fast-fit centres, and regional repair networks across South Wales and the South West of England. Separate from our dealership parts teams, these sites specialise in supplying genuine Ford and Volkswagen Group components, accessories, consumables, and bodyshop materials.
Trade Parts Advisors handle enquiries, quotes, stock checks, and order processing, while in-house drivers complete scheduled delivery routes, often making 20 or more drops per day. The work relies on accurate product identification, multi-brand knowledge, manufacturer systems, and strong customer relationships. With long-standing clients and a trusted reputation for reliability, the department offers variety, teamwork, and clear opportunities to progress into senior advisor or management roles within a stable, family-run business.
What our Trade Parts teams do
Our Trade Parts teams cover a broad range of responsibilities:
- Trade Enquiries: Handling inbound calls, emails, and counter requests from trade customers.
- Parts Identification: Using EPC systems and manufacturer portals to identify correct parts quickly and accurately.
- Quoting & Pricing: Preparing quotes, confirming availability, and advising on product options.
- Order Processing: Picking, packing, and preparing trade orders for same-day or scheduled delivery.
- Scheduled Deliveries: Working with in-house drivers completing 20+ drops per day on planned routes.
- Stock Control: Coordinating with stores to maintain accurate stock levels and process returns or credits.
- Customer Support: Building long-term relationships with workshops and bodyshops across the region.

In short, our Trade Parts Department delivers fast, accurate, and reliable OEM parts supply to professional repairers across the region.
What we're looking for
We look for individuals who thrive in a busy, multitasking environment and who can identify parts quickly and accurately. Strong communication, organisation, and resilience are essential, as the department handles a high volume of calls, orders, and deliveries. Customer service is at the heart of the role, and developing solid relationships with local repairers is key to long-term success.
The working environment is energetic, warehouse-based and counter-focused, with frequent interaction between advisors and drivers. The pace is fast, with deliveries scheduled throughout the day and tight turnaround expectations. Accuracy, teamwork, and a positive attitude are vital, as the team works hard to maintain its reputation for reliability and service excellence.
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds, including experienced trade parts advisors, people from independent motor factors, warehouse operatives, or those looking to build a career in automotive parts.
