How long have you been working at Mon Motors?
I joined the business in February 2015 as a Graduate Trainee Sales Executive. The programme was designed to give new talent a holistic understanding of how the business operates, and it was an eye opening experience that laid the foundation for my career. Nearly a decade later, I am still here and still learning, having worked across multiple departments before progressing into a leadership role within Marketing.
What first attracted you to Mon Motors?
My background was in customer service and retail, and I was looking for a new opportunity that would allow me to use those skills while increasing my earning potential. Sales felt like a natural fit. Mon Motors offered a structured development programme, a clear career path and the chance to build experience across different areas of the business. It was the right opportunity at the right time, and it has shaped the professional journey I am on today.
What does a typical day look like for you?
No two days in marketing are the same, which is one of the reasons I enjoy the role so much. I oversee strategy, lead a growing team and work alongside departments across the business to ensure marketing aligns with wider goals. My days involve a mix of planning, reviewing campaigns, developing creative ideas and responding to new challenges. Innovation and adaptability are essential in this industry, and I thrive on the variety and pace that comes with it.
What is the team like at Mon Motors?
The marketing team is talented, motivated and full of personality. We work hard, support each other and always find space to enjoy what we do. Everyone is keen to learn and contribute, whether we are planning new campaigns or responding to last minute industry changes. It is a strong and collaborative environment, and I am proud of how far the team has come over the years.
Have you had any training or development opportunities since joining?
I have benefitted from a range of manufacturer training during my time in Sales, including opportunities that took me to Germany. More recently, the business has supported me in gaining my CIM marketing accreditation, which has strengthened my knowledge and helped shape my approach as a leader. The blend of hands on experience, professional development and trust from the business has played a huge part in my progression.
