Getting started with Motability at Mon Motors
How does the Motability Scheme work
Starting your Motability lease with Mon Motors is quick and simple. First, check your eligibility. Once confirmed, you can browse our wide selection of vehicles, including the latest offers from Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT, Ford, Volvo, CUPRA, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Ford Commercial Vehicles.
Your lease payments are taken directly from your qualifying mobility allowance every four weeks and cover everything from insurance and breakdown cover to servicing, MOTs, tyres and windscreen repairs.
If you’re considering an electric motability vehicle, you’ll also receive a home chargepoint with standard installation or access to the bp pulse charging network should a home charging unit not be suitable. On top of this, you'll also gain access to the Motability Go Charge app and card, giving you access to 58,000+ public chargepoints across the UK.
Leases typically last three years, or five years for WAVs. When your agreement ends, you can renew with a new vehicle, extend your current lease (if eligible), or return the car and resume your allowance. Returning your vehicle in good condition may also qualify you for a Motability ‘Good Condition Payment’.
Some vehicles require an Advance Payment, which is a one-off, non-refundable payment made at the start of your lease, in addition to your weekly mobility allowance. Optional extras and upgrades are available but come with an additional charge.
Once you've chosen your vehicle, our team will guide you through the application and handle the paperwork. When it’s ready, simply collect your new car from your chosen Mon Motors dealership.
