Will I need to provide any documents when I part exchange my car?

Yes – you’ll need your V5 logbook, MOT certificate (if applicable), service history, proof of address, ID, and any spare keys. We’ll let you know exactly what to bring.

Do you charge any admin fees for part exchange?

No, we don’t charge hidden or admin fees. The offer you receive is what you’ll get, subject to final inspection on collection day.

What condition does my vehicle need to be in to sell or part exchange it?

We accept vehicles in a wide range of conditions, from excellent to those showing signs of wear. When valuing your vehicle, we take into account its age, mileage, service history, and overall condition, including cosmetic marks, tyre wear, and any mechanical issues. Minor wear and tear is expected, but if your vehicle has significant damage or faults, it may affect its final valuation.

Please note, for a direct sale, we buy Audi, Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT, Ford, Volvo, and CUPRA models up to 8 years old with less than 70,000 miles on the clock. If your vehicle falls outside of these criteria, we’re happy to consider it as part of a part exchange.

What types of cars do you buy?

We buy a wide variety of cars, from hatchbacks and saloons to SUVs, estates, coupés, and convertibles. We specialise in the brands we represent, including Audi, Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT, Volvo and CUPRA, but we’re happy to consider cars from other manufacturers too.

As long as your car hasn’t been a service vehicle (like a taxi, ambulance, or similar), an insurance write-off, or is missing its service history, we may be interested in buying it from you to help replenish our Approved Used stock.

Can I sell my car with outstanding finance?

Yes, you can sell your car even if it still has outstanding finance, for example through a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) or Hire Purchase (HP) agreement. You’ll need to request a settlement letter from your finance company confirming how much is left to pay.

If your car’s value is higher than the settlement figure, you’ll have positive equity, which you can choose to take as cash or put towards your next New or Approved Used car. If it’s worth less, you’ll need to cover the shortfall (negative equity) before the sale can be completed.

The process for settling your finance may vary depending on your agreement, but we’ll guide you through each step to make it as simple as possible.

Can I sell my car with a private registration?

Yes, you can sell your car with a private registration.

If you’d like to keep your private plate however, we recommend placing it on retention as soon as you start thinking about selling. It currently costs £80 (as of 2025), and you’ll need your V5C logbook to complete the process.

You can put your private plate on retention online through the DVLA website.
