Volkswagen Standard Service Plan/Plus Plan
When drivers purchase a Volkswagen at Mon Motors, they’re given the option to add on a VW service plan to help stay on top of vehicle maintenance. There are various types available depending on the age and type of car, with the Standard and Plus Service Plan two of the most popular options.
What is a Volkswagen Standard Service Plan?
The standard plan is available for any vehicle aged between brand new and up to 15 years old, except for VW electric cars and commercial vehicles. This option includes two services performed by Mon Motors’ Volkswagen-approved technicians, plus:
- 2 Services including engine oil and filter changes
- 2 MOTs* free of charge for cars aged 7-15 years only
- Inspections to the components recommended by Volkswagen relevant to age and mileage
- 1 pollen filter replacement if necessary
- A diagnostic check for any software updates
The monthly cost will depend on the age and type of Volkswagen vehicle. For a Volkswagen Touareg up to 1 years old, it's £30.50 a month, if your Touareg is aged between 1 - 6 years old, it's £30 a month, while for any older Touaregs, it's £27 a month. For all other models up to 30 days old, it's £18.71 a month, if your vehicle is 31 - 365 days old, it'll be £23 a month, 1 - 6 years old will be £22.75 a month, and vehicles aged between 7 and 15 years old will be £19.99 a month.
What is a Volkswagen Plus Service Plan?
The Volkswagen Plus Service Plan includes all aspects of the Volkswagen Standard Service Plan, as well as a few extra aspects that can help older cars keep running smoothly. This means that during the two services performed by Mon Motors’ Volkswagen approved technicians, the car in question will also benefit from an air filter change if necessary and the replacements of spark plugs or diesel filter (again, if deemed necessary by the technicians).
The Volkswagen Plus Service Plan is eligible for any Volkswagen car aged between one and fifteen years old, except for Touaregs, VW electric cars, and commercial vehicles. It will either cost £30.99 a month or £743.76 upfront for vehicles aged 1-6 years old, or £27.50 a month or £660 upfront on vehicles aged 7-15 years old.

Why should drivers choose one of these Volkswagen service plans? Services are great ways to look after your car, both by optimising the performance and making it more likely to spot any issues at an earlier point. It’s also a habit you’ll thank yourself for when it comes around to selling the vehicle and there’s a healthy service history to show it’s in good shape.
While it’s possible to get services carried out at other garages, having them done at one of Mon Motors’ five VW dealerships means your Volkswagen will be inspected by our Volkswagen-approved technicians. Any repairs or replacements will use genuine Volkswagen parts that also have a two-year warranty.
And a key advantage of taking out a VW service plan is that you can spread out the cost of this vital aftercare over 24 monthly payments, rather than paying it all in one go (although there’s the option to pay it upfront as well). You also lock in today’s prices before they may rise with inflation, too.
