Book a Volkswagen van recall
What is a Volkswagen van recall?
Very occasionally, certain types of Volkswagen vans and Volkswagen commercial vehicles will be recalled. If you have an affected vehicle, you will have to return it to the VW dealership from which you purchased the car.
If you purchased a Volkswagen from Mon Motors and your car is recalled, you’ll have to return it to our specialist VW dealership, Volkswagen Van Centre Bristol. Here, the issue will be fixed for free by our team of VW-approved technicians and the Volkswagen van will be safe to drive on the roads again.
Why might a Volkswagen van be recalled?
Volkswagen van recalls are rare and when they do occur, it’s often due to a minor issue that can be easily fixed. Typically, a recall will be issued when a specific fault has been identified with a component of the vehicle that could impact the safety or performance.
A recent example was the recall of the ID.Buzz in the USA. This Volkswagen electric van had space for up to three to sit along its back-row bench, but only two seatbelts. After the recall, these vehicles were fitted with unpadded trim parts to ensure there wasn’t room for a third passenger to sit without a seatbelt.
At Mon Motors, recalled vehicles will be fixed by one of our VW-trained technicians and returned to you as soon as possible.
Check if your Volkswagen van has a safety recall
You can check if your new Volkswagen van is subject to a safety recall by entering the vehicle’s registration on the DVLA’s site and clicking on ‘outstanding vehicle recalls’.
If there’s an active recall, you should book a slot at one of Mon Motors’ five Volkswagen dealerships in Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, Merthyr Tydfil or Weston-super-Mare. Our team of Volkswagen-approved technicians will resolve the issue and have you back on the road in no time at all.
