What is a Volkswagen van Service?
You can think of a service as a routine check-up at the doctor’s — there might not be anything outwardly wrong with the van, but an expert will be able to carry out tests to ensure that there are no issues or signs of degradation that could become a bigger problem in the future.
Services aren’t compulsory in the way that MOTs are. However, it’s a good practice to get into. When you come in for a VW van service, our team of VW-approved technicians will be able to look over the vehicle and provide an overview of the overall health. They may refill fluids and replace parts if necessary, as well as offer recommendations for repairs.
At Mon Motors, we offer Volkswagen van service plans to help you stay on top of your van maintenance. These are contracted periods during which you pay a fixed monthly amount — in return, you’ll get a specified number of services, along with MOTs, roadside assistance and warranty in some cases. Sometimes, a VW van service plan will work out cheaper than buying each of the component parts separately.
We also offer 0% finance options for servicing, maintenance, repairs and accessories. This allows you to spread out the cost of vehicle maintenance over a longer period without building up interest. You can also delay the first payment by up to 40 days if needs be.
What Does a Volkswagen van service Include?
During a VW van service at Mon Motors, the vehicle will be inspected by one of our Volkswagen-approved technicians and tests will be carried out on all of the major components, including the brakes, steering, suspension, and gearbox.
Any parts showing early signs of damage might be replaced, while the oil and coolant levels will be checked and replenished if necessary. With electric or plug-in hybrid vans, the battery will be checked, as will the charging port and connection.
