What happens if my Audi fails its MOT?
Published on the 9th October 2025
If your Audi fails its MOT, you can’t drive it again until those faults have been repaired, and the vehicle has been re-tested. Not all faults result in a fail; faults and defects are categorised as minor, major or dangerous. Minor faults will be logged and must be monitored in case they need repairing at a later date – this is your responsibility to do so.
Major or dangerous faults mean an MOT failure. Driving after your car has failed its MOT can result in a fine and penalty points on your license – you can only drive your car to a garage for the required repairs. Of course, if you book an Audi MOT with Mon Motors, we can carry out the repairs needed so you won’t need to go anywhere else.
