Business Contract Hire (BCH) is a type of Volvo car finance that works as a lease plan. Its similar to Personal Contract Hire (PCH) but available only to businesses, not private motorists. Who can apply for a Volvo business lease agreement? The list is varied, from VAT-registered companies to sole traders, public limited companies to registered charities.
With a BCH agreement, a business leases a Volvo - or an entire fleet - for its employees. The process is straightforward: the business pays an initial rental, followed by fixed monthly payments over a chosen term, typically between 12 and 48 months (one to four years).
The agreement will include an annual mileage limit – say 10,000 miles a year – which should be adhered to. If the vehicle exceeds the total mileage at the end of the agreement, there will be an excess mileage charge to pay, which is chargeable per mile. That might only be 8p per mile, for example, but can mount up if the vehicle has clocked up 1,000 more excess miles than was agreed when the contract was taken out, so a business needs to consider likely driving requirements carefully.
