What Does a SEAT MOT Test Include?
When you bring your car in for a SEAT MOT test, our team of SEAT-trained specialists will work through the standard MOT test set by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) — this includes inspections of the brakes, tyres, windshield wipers and headlights.
At the end of the test, your vehicle will be given a pass or fail. If it’s a pass, the car is considered roadworthy for the following year and you’ll be given a test certificate (also known as a VT20) for your records. Even if a car successfully passes an MOT test, the certificate might highlight ‘minor’ faults — these are small issues that, while not serious enough to lead to a failure, need to be monitored and potentially fixed to prevent failures in future tests.
If a car fails an MOT test, the reasons will be listed on the test certificate either as major or dangerous faults.
