The Ford Ranger Plug-in Hybrid’s redesigned exterior makes a solid statement of modern, well-crafted toughness. Featuring a bold rectangular front grille with signature ‘C-Clamp’ daytime running lights, muscular body sides and a wider stance than before; it not only increases stability but looks more robust too.
All versions are more than capable, on-road or off it, with an Advanced Terrain Management System, plus driver assistance features such as intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane-Keeping Aid. Distinctive alloy wheels come in 17 or 18-inch sizes, there’s an easy-lift tailgate and, if you upgrade to Wildtrak trim, finishing touches like aluminium roof rails, an aerodynamic sports hoop and exterior zone lighting.
The powertrain seamlessly combines a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine with a 75 kW battery-powered motor, for great power with great responsibility. A choice of EV driving modes means you can drive on petrol, battery power, or a combination of the two – and also means no restrictions on entering low-emission zone areas.
