A Ford Service Plan, called the “Ford Protect Service Plan,” lets vehicle owners spread the cost of maintenance via fixed pricing paid either upfront or in regular instalments, helping avoid unpredictable bills. The plan covers all scheduled servicing and maintenance items recommended for your vehicle including oil, brake fluid and filter changes, and ensures servicing is carried out by Ford-trained technicians using genuine Ford parts. As part of the plan, owners benefit from extended roadside assistance, and for older vehicles there is an “Essential Service Plan” option offering essential maintenance including oil/filter change, fluid top-ups and a multi-point inspection, often at lower cost than paying for individual services. With a Ford Service Plan in place you gain convenience, cost-certainty and the reassurance that your vehicle is maintained to manufacturer standards, which helps protect reliability, warranty status and resale value.

The cost of a Ford Service Plan depends on factors including the model, age, mileage and the plan type. You can choose to pay in full at the outset or spread the cost over monthly instalments.

Example costs (for 2-year / 18,000 mile plans) include:

• Basic Service Plan for small models (e.g. Fiesta, Puma, EcoSport) — around £330 upfront or £40 + £15 × 23 months
• Service Plan Plus (service + wear & tear cover) for same models — around £460 upfront or £45.83 + £20.83 × 23 months 
• For larger or premium models, or different plan durations, pricing will vary — dealers set specific cost depending on vehicle and selected plan.
